Terms of Service
Effective July 13, 2026
Preliminary draft. This document is under review by legal counsel and may change before general availability. It is provided for transparency during our early-access period and is not yet a final agreement.
These terms govern your use of CmdCtl. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Please read the sections on AI agents (§4) and connected services (§5) carefully — you remain responsible for reviewing and approving what agents do on your behalf.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using CmdCtl you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.
2. The service
CmdCtl is a graph-based coordination layer that unifies your mail, calendar, files, messages, tasks, and goals and provides an AI agent team that surfaces priorities and takes actions you approve. We may change, add, or remove features over time. The service is provided as a web application and progressive web app.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to hold your own account. Children under the applicable age of digital consent may use CmdCtl only through a parent-controlled sub-account created under our family feature with verifiable parental consent. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
4. AI agents and automation
CmdCtl’s agents can propose and, with your approval, take actions on your behalf. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing agent proposals before approving them, and consequential actions require your explicit approval. If you configure agents, workflows, or automated decisions — particularly ones affecting other people — you are responsible for those configurations, their outcomes, and for complying with laws that apply to your use, including any required disclosures, human review, and record-keeping.
5. Connected services
When you connect a third-party service (such as Google Workspace, Slack, or Microsoft Teams), you authorize CmdCtl to access and act on that service on your behalf within the permissions you grant. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms, and you must have the right to connect the accounts and data you connect. You can disconnect a service at any time.
6. Your content and ownership
You retain all rights to the data and content you bring to or create in CmdCtl. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service and to perform the actions you request. You are responsible for your content and for ensuring you have the rights to it.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to break the law or infringe others’ rights.
- Send spam, or use the invitation or messaging features to harass or deceive.
- Attempt to breach tenant isolation, access other users’ data, or probe or disrupt the service’s security.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or misrepresent the service, or exceed rate or usage limits in a way that harms others.
- Upload malware or use the service to store or transmit unlawful content.
8. Plans, billing, and cancellation
CmdCtl offers a free tier and paid plans (Pro and Team). Paid plans are billed in advance through our payments partner, Stripe, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and unless stated otherwise or required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We will give notice of price changes before they take effect.
9. Attribution
Content that CmdCtl helps you send on some plans may include a neutral “Powered by Command Control” attribution. You can turn this off in your settings subject to your plan.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CmdCtl will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CmdCtl harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the service, your configuration of agents or automated decisions, or your violation of these terms or the rights of others.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms or to protect the service or its users. Before your data is deleted you may export it as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which CmdCtl is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these terms; for material changes we will provide notice and update the effective date above. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms. Questions?
